Austinn Says Hats On:
‘I Can Only Imagine’: The Song Was Better (6/10)
I’d heard a lot of great things about this movie going into it, but sadly it did not live up to the hype for me. The story is about the inspiration behind the popular MercyMe song, which revolves around the writer’s relationship with his abusive father. Unfortunately, the movie takes way too long to get where it needs to go, and often focuses too much on unimportant details. Dennis Quaid does a great job, but I think his character needed a lot more development. Additionally, the rest of the acting and dialogue can be over-the-top at times. The ending was nice, but the movie as a whole was weak. #gofromdadtoworse #theamazinggrace #simplesongnumber1 #wishGranted #changeofArt
