Kelvin Says Hats On:

Just saw “The House with a Clock in Its Walls” – In the Hole in the Bottom of the Sea. Conclusion: 5/10. Weird, sometimes in a wonderful way, this is a movie that still can’t quite shake many of the familiar children’s movie tropes. Likewise, it’s also not quite smart or funny enough to put a fresh spin on what feels pretty familiar. Jack Black doesn’t make much of an effort to play anyone other than himself and Cate Blanchett isn’t given near enough to do. She plays a bit more of a prominent role in the final act, but the movie itself is slogging by this point. Most of the creativity and intrigue comes from the movie‚Äôs visuals, unfortunately, there isn’t quite enough in the story itself. #SmashingPumpkins #DeatBy1000PaperCuts #TickMeOff #TockBlocked #MomOfTheDead
